Mettre en pratique au champ une agriculture durable. Luçon-Pétré, lauréat de l’édition 2003-200’ Des «T.P.» raisonnés

Une classe de BTS du Lycée de Luçon-Pétré (Vendée) a remporté la deuxième édition (2003-2004) du concours « Champs & Lycées » organisé par Syngenta Agro, Arvalis-Institut du Végétal et la DGER du ministère de l’Agriculture et de la Pêche. Ces étudiants ont reçu deux lots de semences de blé tendre (protection de base ou haut de gamme). Pour chaque lot, ils ont bâti deux itinéraires techniques (traditionnel et raisonné) et les ont appliqués sur deux parcelles différentes. Ils ont suivi les quatre parcelles jusqu’à la moisson 2004 et la panification qui a suivi. Les meilleurs résultats technico-économiques sont obtenus sur les blés en conduite raisonnée après protection des semences haut de gamme. Les étudiants, qui ont reçu leur prix en novembre 2004, valorisent leur démarche vers l’extérieur (Salon de l’agriculture, etc.) The students of a BTS class at the Luçon-Pétré school in the Vendée region of France winned the 2nd edition (2003-2004) of the « Champs & Lycées » competition jointly organised by Syngenta Agro, Arvalis-Plant Institute and the Education & Research division (DGER) of the french Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. The students were provided with two batches of winter wheat seeds (basic or high-level protection). For each batch they created two technical farming programmes (traditional and integrated) and applied them to two different plots. They then monitored the four plots up until the 2004 harvest and the subsequent breadmaking process. The best technical & financial results were obtained with integrated programm and high-level seed protection. The students, who were awarded their price in November 2004, have continued to increase public awareness of their work.
